Art has always been in my blood. Growing up, I was surrounded by family members who were always painting, drawing, and creating. It just felt like a natural part of life for me. While some people might wake up one day and decide to leave behind the simple joys of art, I never did.

After finishing my A-levels, I decided to dive deeper into art by taking a foundation course at Bournville College of Art in Birmingham. It was there that I learned how to expand my concepts and practices. Later, I made my way to London and attended the Slade School of Art, where I proudly earned my BA Hons Degree.

The Slade School didn't just teach me art; it gave me the confidence to question the norm and see things from a fresh perspective. Drawing has always been a crucial part of how I view the world, but I've also discovered that using mixed media like paint, installation, and print can open up entirely new dimensions of understanding.

It was at the Slade where I developed my signature style, incorporating the initials of my name, NEH, which you'll always find somewhere on the work or frame.

For me, intentional moments, carefully curated events, beautiful mistakes, and unexpected quirks are what life is all about. They're also the driving force behind my art. My passion lies in blending the expected with the spontaneous in the pursuit of beauty.
